10 Toxic Materials I Do Not Have in My House

Steroid/antibiotic creams - While these may seem like a good option, there are better choices that allow the body to heal and don't come with the possibility of adverse reactions or making the problem worse!
Tylenol - I won't say I will NEVER use Tylenol but we do not currently have any in our home because it depletes Glutathione, the body's main antioxidant, and there are many other natural ways we choose to use to relieve pain/fever when necessary.
Polyester - Not only is polyester bad for the environment, it's bad for your health and every time you move wearing polyester, you are shedding microplastics all over yourself and your home.
Bamboo (also known as Viscose) - While it seems like a non-toxic fabric because it comes from a plant, the chemicals that are used to break down the bamboo in order to make it into fabric are super harsh and toxic.
Antiperspirants - First, your body needs to sweat to detox properly and antiperspirants keep you from doing that. Second, the chemicals and fragrances in antiperspirants are full of endocrine disruptors, which are a no go for me.
Aerosol spray products like hairspray or dry shampoo - Chemicals used to aerosolize products like hair spray and dry shampoo can cause cancer and respiratory issues, not to mention the artificial fragrance full of endocrine disruptors.
"Fragrance/Parfum" in any ingredient list - This ingredient is basically code for tons of harmful, undisclosed ingredients in the product. I'm not interested in not knowing what is in my products and what it might be impacting.
Retinol skin care products - Retinol is a super harsh chemical and not safe for pregnancy/breastfeeding so, for me, that makes it not safe for any use. Plus it causes cell damage and can disrupt the skin microbiome.
Non-stick cookware - Not only do they break down quickly and need to be replaced frequently, but that non-stick cookware is also covered in PFAs that are leaching into everything you cook.
Plastic cooking utensils - If you are using plastic utensils while cooking (especially with heat), then you not only are contaminating your food with microplastics but also potentially brominated flame retardants.
