Your birth plan - print it out and give copies to the doctors, nurses, and even tape one to the door so anyone that comes in during your labor can easily see it! My pregnancy guide comes with a free birth plan template and it is on sale until baby #3 arrives!
Snacks - Here are some of my favorite options: grassfed beef sticks, string cheese, nuts, Skout bars, veggies, hummus
Electrolytes to keep you hydrated - My favorites are Buoy and Just Ingredients (code THEORGANIMAMA).
Homemade meals - we just made a big batch of soup beforehand and froze it in jars that we could heat up at the hospital to avoid hospital food. I have several delicious freezer friendly options including soups in my cookbook that are great nutrient dense options for after birth!
Toxin free diapers for you and baby
Receiving blankets washed in non toxic detergent (We use TrulyFree's unscented detergent to wash all of baby's clothes and blankets beforehand)
Comfy oversized outfits for mom
Non toxic deodorant (code ORGANIMAMA20)
Body lotion (New customers can get 15% off and free shipping with code ADVOCATE15)
Car seat - Modern Nursery is my favorite place to shop for all kinds of low tox baby gear.
And rather than be caught not knowing what you need for when you get home from the hospital, download my free postpartum guide for all my very best tips on those very special, very tender first few days with your new baby.
And this week on the podcast, I got interview HeHe Stewart who has been working in the birth space for 10 years and has so much knowledge on all kinds of births. She gave us the most helpful information all about preparing for C-sections, VBACs, inductions, and so much more. Listen anywhere you get podcasts or watch on Spotify or Youtube! if you’re planning a hospital birth, this episode is a MUST WATCH!
