10 Crunchy Things I Couldn't Live Without in Pregnancy

  1. Crunchi's I AM The Balm and Crunchi's I AM Luminous Facial Oil - I suffered from very irritated skin during pregnancy. It's common due to hormones for your skin barrier to be damaged so you don’t want to use any strong toners or cleansers - soft, moisturizing things are best to help rebuild your skin barrier! I would occasionally use Crunchi's I AM Polished but not frequently because exfoliants are harsh on your skin (as they should be)!

  2. Bahè REVIVE Grounding Running shoes - I didn’t do any running during pregnancy but I did walk every day and these ethically made wide toe box, barefoot style sneakers allow you to get the benefits of grounding while still wearing shoes. I highly recommend a wide toe box, zero-drop shoe during pregnancy.

  3. Grass-fed Greek Yogurt - One of the best things you can do for your blood sugar during pregnancy is to eat a high protein snack right before you go to bed and so every single night during pregnancy, I would eat a small bowl of Grass-fed Greek yogurt and that really really helped my blood sugar levels. I always had a really good fasting glucose levels when I was testing my blood sugar the morning after I would eat this! (this is one of my favorite options but any grass-fed organic option you can find near you is great!)

  4. Monica + Andy Maternity Jogger - Because a lot of my pregnancy was during the fall and winter, I basically lived in these organic cotton joggers from Monica + Andy. They are so comfortable, they grow with me, and I could wear them out or wear them around the house and they were perfect. Last year, they had these in black which I what I bought, so hopefully they launch more colors soon!

  5. Thompson Method Breastfeeding Course - I am a huge advocate for taking a breastfeeding course during pregnancy and my favorite one is the Thompson method because it approaches breast-feeding from a different perspective than most. It is founded and created by an Australian midwife with over 50 years of experience in breast-feeding and birth settings. She explains very thoroughly in this course why decisions you make during pregnancy and during your birth directly impact breastfeeding and she also has her PhD in nipple trauma and gives a lot of great information on how to avoid discomfort while breastfeeding that I think every mom should know. The course is also 50% off for Mother's Day!

  6. Christian Hypnobirthing app with the tracks - (their birth and postpartum courses are also excellent!) Almost every night during pregnancy, I would take an Epsom salt bath and listen to the Christian hypnobirthing tracks, even in first and second trimester to start to prepare my mind for labor and birth, and it's just like a really excellent way to start getting yourself in the mindset and learning to relax your body and surrendering your birth experience to the Lord.

  7. Crystal Quest bath filter - I took an Epsom salt bath pretty much every night during pregnancy and I used this bath filter to make sure there was no chlorine or contaminants in my bathwater.

  8. Earthley Good Night Lotion (Magnesium cream) - I would rub this on my feet and legs every night to promote deep sleep and prevent any calf cramps. (Code: KVG)

  9. Buoy - I also use these every day even when I'm not pregnant but it's especially important to make sure that you're getting the proper amount of electrolytes while pregnant. I like the Rescue Drops during pregnancy because it provides the highest number of electrolytes and I would also pair it with the Rescue Salt to make sure that my sodium levels were high enough. Taking electrolytes every single day helps prevent cramps and excessive Braxton Hicks contractions. Link will save you 20% off.

  10. Primally Pure Deodorant - IYKYK, those pregnancy hormone swings can cause some serious BO and crazy sweat. The absolute best nontoxic deodorant that will keep you and baby safe is Primally Pure. This deodorant has some really incredible nontoxic scents and it is completely free of aluminum or any harmful toxins. My favorite safe scent is tea tree and code ORGANIMAMA10 will save you!
